My new boat will not fit in the garage. The trailer is extended out pretty far past the bow of the boat. I am looking for a company that would be able to cut it and make some sort of break away tongue.
Anyone know of a place that will do good welding?
You can see what I mean in this pic.

If I could get it cut off close to the tip of the bow, it will fit. I need to get this done pretty soon.

That is easy, any welder would be able to weld on a swing away tongue for you

That is what I am thinking, I dont have brakes either. Xtreme said they have a "kit" for $299. I just have to measure the beams for them.

Extreme did my 1987 Competitive and did a killer job. Here is their website. They are very close to you--north of the 60 @ Market Street. Pivit-Hitch is owned by Extreme:

material would be about 20 bucks - and you should be able to find some one to weld it on here it for you :D if not a welding shop should only be about an two hours labor -- if you buy that kit you still have to do the same thing right ?

Just to followup and close this thread out. I had my trailer work done at Kustom Trailers. Dan was great and didnt BS around, he told me 3 days I gave him a week, he had it done in 2 days, with paint and all. Here are the pics. I chose the swing cause he told me the receiver style has alot of slop in it, plus I think the swing is trick!

Seats are just in there as a mockup, going to recover them in all black.

Hey Travis, the motor is the very final piece. Going to switch to an 8* strut which is a 10mph gain off the top, but $$$ then a drop thru skeg, rudder, gearbox work, too much shit and $$$. :) How is the spectra fund coming along?
You think you will be able to keep your baby after all?

Right under $400 out the door, I am very pleased with their work. If you need ANY trailer work I would HIGHLY recommend them, they do it all there.

Damn, that sucks.
Want to make me some seat brackets? I also need to have a nice gauge panel made, basically I am eliminating 2 gauges going from 5 to 3 and want to make a plate to go over all 5 holes, but with the 2 empty spots on the panel I want to have "1975 Biesmeyer" engraved in there.
What do you think?

It would be really hard to match the yellow gel from 75'. This is something Billy suggested to me, until I decide to fill the holes in and repaint it.

don, as much as id love to make you guage panel, i wont let you put a plate/panel on your boat. either have the holes filled, or get creative with guages. hell id rather see a clock or something in the quage holes than have you put a panel over it.

Nope. I think Extreme charged me about $500 with a quick release pin and swing instead of the 4-bolts. They are actually very reasonable. Got to give props to Tony over there because he is a good guy and does great work.

This alone is good reason to go to KTW. The 4 bolts are stronger, slop free, and cheaper.
Dmonzta, AKA "Grand Wizard", you know I only step in when you need it....do not cover your seats in black! You will burn your white ass! :) Call me before you put a plate on the dash.

LMAO
I will let you know before I make anymore steps Jerry.
Thanks,
BTW: I prefer the 4 bolts also, they are stronger. I dont need a quick release pin cause I am not swinging it away all the time.
