The mayor has just resigned.
Three councilmen were charged with felonies, one of them died and the other two were just found guilty of felonies Strippergate, they call it. Taking bribes from strip club owners...
One of those two was supposed to be the new temporary mayor.
Our retired city workers get some huge pension deals but the council underfunded the account by $1.4 Billion......
Now what? Who knows....... :hammerhea

Now we have a lesbian mayor, she was just selected as mayor pro-tem. :rolleyes: Oy. :rolleyes:

sd is going downhill.Its being over built,city cant keep up.My prop taxes were paid on time in full,they are 2 months behind on the paper work at the city,yet they are send my deliquint notices and fines.The check has been cashed!They have my taxes,it been a joke keeping up on it

Two more members of the pension committee resigned.
Duke Cunningham, our formerly esteemed Congressman is under investigation and will likely be indicted for taking money from defense contractors...... :yuk: :cry: :frown:

Funny thing is they will still, most likely, be able to keep there retirement.. at almost full salary.... unless they are convicted... which i highly doubt.
Auto tags out here are $68 a year...doesnt matter what you drive..new,, used or abused. No state taxes....well, we've been through this before. :notam: :rolleyes:

Sounds like the norm for a lot of places.
The Mayor of Tallulah, Louisiana was charged with making malicious charges on the town credit card. Seems he stopped in Jackson, Mississippi and checked in to a motel... on his way back from Georgia... note: Jackson is only about 50 or 60 miles away... claims he got tired....
Back to the story :rolleyes: They charged that he had selected several porno flicks that ended up getting charged to his room and on the small town's credit card. He said he fell asleep on the remote and accidentally hit the appropriate buttons to select the porno flicks. (yea right!!! :rolleyes: )
Rumor has it that he was entertaining some one in the room... BTW he is married also.
So....yep, corrupt politicians are everywhere... :frown:
