Great looking boat, what are you replacing it with?

I'm hoping to move up to a 28-32 offshore runner. Unless I find the perfect boat I'll most likely wait until the season is over to buy.
I thought I could talk someone into stepping down plus cash to avoid the whole selling thing, however everyone seams to want to step-up.
Can't blame them. Its like an addiction.

Thanks Nash, I always liked your 24/7 as well.
I read about your dealings with Magic. I hope all is better.
Gotta admit that is a killer boat! :)

Thanks....nothing like the craftsmanship of an Ultra...I will leave it like that. I like it...a little more generic as far a fitting all our needs. Its a good ride tho... at least its different than anything else out here.

No one ever believes me when I tell them 70 MPH.
I put a new lab finish prop on it before the test drive. It read 76 MPH on the speedo and the guy about fell out of his chair. It was pretty much sold after that. My guess is a honest 72 with a small load. That Scorpion motor works really well in the 24/7.
Now I have cash burning a hole in my pocket so I'm looking for a good offshore boat. Gotta spend it before the wife finds use for it.

It is hard to convince people of that Hurley, that is why I stopped trying. Nobody believes me when I report my speeds with a 496HO. Oh well.

what size are you looking for?
I was thinking 28+. Small enough to take to the river yet large enough to take to the islands.
After talking to some peeps Im actually considering an older 38 Top Gun.
It would be a biach to take to the river though.

Nice boat, but I think I'm needing bigger. It must be an old age thing.

Never used GPS, but PowerBoat tested the same set up with open bow at 70.6 MPH. My guess is that my set up with a closed deck and lab finished prop is slightly faster.
Its safe to say it was a true 70 MPH boat. As advertised.

Yep, just as advertised. I run in the mid to high 70's with a labbed 26.5 4 blade at 5000 rpm. I think what makes these hulls to fast is the weight. THe 247 weighs 3100 lbs.
