Ideas please

Anyone have any ideas to make a transom look more pretty? Currently wood, in decent shape, but patch work from through transom headers are visible. Id like to make it look clean. Was thinking of spraying gel coat, but Im not sure it would stick, plus I dont want to promote rotting of the wood by sealing it off...What would you do?

ditch the pump, and hang on some cav plates.

sorry, INTERIOR TRANSOM! And actually, when the boat was made cav plate recesses were included. One day Ill set it up, but for now I have enough to deal with!

get some panels and have it upholstered and hide the inside of the transome if you want pics let me know

Brendella, I had Todd (Todnjuzz) from TRG fiberglass mud up, bodywork, and paint my bilge and transom area with some kind of super tuff paint the he uses. His work is stellar. It looked so sweet that I didn't want to cover it up with the motor. Uh ya right. :D
