Nice rig! Just needs a little TLC on the motor and it will be a ten. Not a bad price at all.

I Was Thinking The Same Thing. Say's It Has 600 Hp And Will Do 70 Mph. Just Change Out That Old Style Exaust And Pick Up A Couple More Mph's. Hey Riverkid, Whats Goin On.

406 Cu in Chevy with Tunnel Ram, 2-660 center squirt holley carbs. Sounds like they put a junk motor in it to sell. 406????

Ya that's a RED FLAG!! Why would you put a bored out 396 or 400 smog motor in a boat that’s worth that kind of $$$

So you can hang onto that big Brummitt engine that you just know used to be in it.

:D :D :D
Well the motor in it now if you’re lucky is worth $2000 so look at it as if you’re going to spend 26k for a boat with no motor. The boat is worth about 15k with no motor.

Hahaha, And It Said That The Seat Turned Around For Ski Racing. I Dont Think That Was The Engine That Was In It.

You think? My friend just got his new schiada 21 rigged and he has about 60K in it less engine. So with out standing there looking at it if it's clean 16K would be one steal of a deal if you ask me.

From looking at the inside transom pic I bet that motor's OG... Haven't seen log exhaust in a V drive for a while... What's shakin' BM? Had your boat out lately? Still waiting on you to shoot some pics over. REB939 says it's a nice package...

I currently have a Hallett 210 and was wondering what you guys felt were some pros and cons on the comparisons between this Vector for sale and a 210 I/O? I have always loved the day cruisers and Vector V-Drives but they seem to be few and far between when it comes to my price range and the type of boating I do. Mainly Parker and Havasu but a lot of recreational skiing. If you have any insight it would be appreciated. Thanks

Very nice! My buddy Trav has a GMT V drive that he's doing the same with. It should come back from having the inside floors re-gelled this week and he's already got all the rigging re-powdercoated. Wilkes is building him a 540 NA mottor for it. Should do at least a buck when it's done.
That's a lot of work you bit off for yourself. I sure hope the garage is air conditioned! Let me know if you are ever headed over to Elsionore to run it. I don't live far from there. Take it easy!

The Vector has a great bottom, and whaddaya' know, so does the 210. There's nothing wrong with your boat. In fact, most of the new ski race boats are I/O's these days (albeit with a dry sumped #6 drive, and BIG tabs). They are also predominately Hallett 210's (or a Cyclone). The V drives handle a bit better IMO but unless you want to really throw some motor at it you should be fine with an I/O. You can't go wrong with a 210 I/O for rec skiing. Theres my $ .02

Tell Me About It. It Took My Dad And I One Full Day To Take It All Apart And Label Everything. We Are Now Going To Be On Our 4th Full Day Of Putting It Back Together. Thank God We Took Pictures Of Everything Before We Took It Apart. Man What A Help That Was Escpecially With The Steering And The Puley Setup.

Trav took a bunch of shots with one of those throw away cameras, and guess what his dad did with the camera? Yep, tossed it! I took a bunch of digital shots of it when he bought it (it was over here at my place while he was filching race gas out of my drum), so I guess he's gonna have some fun getting it back together again!
Lotta work. You and pops will be busy for sure!
