I have a set of Holley 600's (1850's) on my boat. There manual choke carbs and I removed the chokes when I rebuilt them. I just noticed where the chokes used to be one of the holes is pulling air and if I plug it with my finger the idle drops, vacume leak? I thought only the electric choke carbs had this? Ive been running it like this all summer and havent had any problems, should I plug them off and re-adjust the idle mixture? If so what should I use to plug them, epoxy?, silecone?

Byron,
What you're looking for are some little brass windows that slid underneath the hole where the plastic guide used to sit holding the linkage.
Give me a call and I'll send some to ya.

Bryon...go with Blown472's idea...it is a great fix for the prob...i personally threaded short allen screws into all the holes that held the choke...also i would re-set the mixture screws and re-adjust the idle...and u should be ready to go
