How do I go about finding a replacement (one wire sender) that will work for my VDO 0-80 psi electronic oil guage?
The one I have is leaking oil... :notam:
Thanks.

Call Rex. They carry the 80 and the 100 psi senders. I was told that they interchange 80 sender with whatever 80 gauge and same with 100 sender and 100 gauge. boiught 80 sender and checked with mech gauge and darned close.

yes, any 80 psi sender will work. just verify with a manual gauge to have peace of mind.

Well actually I don't belive "any 80 psi" will work. Depends on the ohms the (gauge) requires.
From what VDO told me any 80 psi from 10-180 ohms will work. Problem is, plenty of 0-80 psi senders around but not in the correct ohm range. :notam:
I need to get in a (Standerd catalog) and snoop around.
PS. I also use a mechanical gauge... ;)

I'm using info from Rex. Went from vdo to faria gauges and worked fine. Bought new sender from Rex and works fine and same as mech gauge.

 well I guess for giggles I'll try "any" 80 psi gauge.
Thanks for the feedback.
