I have been having problem after problem with my boat. I finally get the engine taken care of and sure enough something else is wrong.
I start running ok but the longer I ran the boat the worse it ran. When I used my place diverter (electric) it would drop the RPMs while I was holding the button. The distributor had and oil leak and was cleaned out, but as I drop the pedal it starts to pop and sound like it is missing. Here is my thoughts
Distributor is bad and needs to be replaced
New Spark Cables the old ones don't fit well around the engine
Alternator might be bad need to bench test it
Ground cable is not tight or connected
I am thinking about putting in the MSD ready to run distributor to save some money. Is this a good move?
Any other things I might be missing?
