i am currently shopping for an engine block for a BBC. i would prefer a merlin or dart, but let me know if you have something comporable. it has to be able to bore out to 4.560, and clearance for a 4.250 stroke.
i have a block for sale if anyone is interested. it is a 454, o-ringed, 4bolt main, has to be bored 30-over to clean up. maybe we can work a trade if you have a block i can use.
please e-mail me at greenie@saber.net, or call me at 530-877-4765, thank you shawn
edit---almost forgot, i need a standard deck, 9.800, i cant use a tall deck

So I need a little schoolin' here. What is an O-ring block? Is that when an O-ring groove is machined around the cylinder? Would you be able to use them with normal head gaskets?
Thanks

Thanks you are correct, and you are correct... you can use a standard head gasket, or a copper head gasket with the wire in if you want to
