View Full Version : Help needed on sea strainers

Hoping someone can help me out here.
I'm after some advice on the best value for money sea strainers on the market.
I've had a look on the web and have only found the Rex Marine item for $499-and am wondering if there's any other options out there to compare it to.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Am I in the right forum here or should I be in the offshore section.
I think these things are good insurance against any weed or muck that might get picked up at the river.
Do none of you guys run this sort of thing?
Again, any help would be appreciated.

Definately a good thing if you run where there are many weeds. I have a nice used one that I may be able to sell you, if you only need one. I can pull it out and shoot a photo if interested. You can PM me or email at agt001@aol.com

Make sure the one you buy has an easy off lid. I have an old Imco one that has two allen bolts to remove and an "o" ring, (pain in the ass). They are good to have, I've blowen out a few impellers before I had it.
