GPSed my boat today

last year with the stock 460 i went 55mph at 4500rpm now im spinning 5000 and hit a best of 62mph on dead calm water. how does this sound to you guys? its a southwind 18' with an AT energizer pump and a ride plate, thats it.

A couple of weeks ago, on my first trip out with an 18' Gullwing and a mostly stock 460, I hit 71 mph at 4700-4800 rpm's. It sounds like you should be able to get some more speed out of your rig.

Thats about all you will get with a southwind. Those hulls are not full stringer and have a bad hook in the bottom.Needs alot of bottom work to make those boats go. Good job on yours though.

i know the boat rides really wet, im going to try a wedge on the nozzle and see if it reacts to it. eventually i will do more stuff with the pump, i just spent all my money on the motor.
