In house motors at MAGIC

Anyone ever buy a Magic and have them put one of their motors in?
I was just wondering about quality and reliability....any experience that someone might have would be great. :D :D

I had a 2001 29' Wizard that they put one of their motors in. This was when the Merc 500 carb was changing to the 500 efi, and there was a back order with the Merc product. They (Magic) made a 500 HP efi motor and it ended up being great.
Never had any issues with it, and it was a strong motor. Bulletproof in my opinion. Flat top built it then, but they weren't putting that name on the motors at that time. Same thing though.

Come on guys....your off topic here. You cant compare Ilmor to the house motor......its not fair to Ilmor.....both might be good in their own applications.

The in house motors "Flat Tops" are built by Steve Faller at Magic. Steve is a great guy and very close to my family. Steve's been working with Hot Rods, Boats, and motors all his life so he knows his stuff and I would highly recommend one of his bullets. He stands behind his work. :wink:
