The ball is traveling to the plate at close to 100 mph, it's faster coming back. He's alright, he never lost consciousness and all the tests were negative.
I know...thankfully...imagine a few more inches over in the temple...it could have been really serious.

I have actually testified in a few cases regarding baseball high performance bats and how fast balls are traveling. On average, the ball is returning to the pitcher anywhere from 100-120 mph. But, the human body can react if prepared.
