My boat is a 42' sonic with 2 572 tall decks runninng #6 drives just was woundering which blower I should go with?? I will mainly be running at Lake Tahoe which is at 6,500 ft elevation.

I think with the larger cubic inch engine, you would want to consider a larger blower, possibly 10-71 or even 14-71, so that you don't have to turn them as hard to supply all those cubes.
I have a couple of tall deck Richard Lee intake manifolds with the intercoolers built in, if you can use them. PM or email me at agt001@aol.com

I would run 14-71 on those motors.Mooneyham said there is only about 100.00 difference between 10s and 14s.

I think the distributor might become a problem with a 14. Might need to run a mag, small cap, or offset distributor.
I might be wrong too. I was just having this conversation on vacation, we looked up a site regarding case lengths and such. I don't remember the site though.

Yes they are blower motors right now.. as far as the distributor it will clear the blower if you use a intercooler too.

The 10's work great. With the comp manifold, you can run ANY distributor, even without the intercooler. Save yourself a few hundred dollars on that offset.

your dist. will work fine. I would ask what size carbs were you running with the b/m 420. if they were just 750's you might want to go with something a little bigger. I have 980's on my 588ci w/14-71 you might even go w/1050. cant have to much fuel in them babies :)
