This is a copy of text from another board....Sean and that beautiful boat were at our run in Jax last month.....Thankful no one got killed...but dammm..Sean is one of the nicest guys you would ever meet too....Big Kat will be back....
As some of you may know, BigCat recently acquired a 40 Skater from Paul Tracy and had spent the last few months dialing in a new set of Eickert 1250's with PSI blowers. The drives were just gone through and the interior was redone to accomodate 4 in the back seat. Sean also recently built a garage to house his Skater and other vehicles. The garage is attached to the house although it is larger! He has a truly sweet setup, including a full shop, spare Eickerts, stands, lifts, etc.
Sean just returned from Topeka Kansas where he has opened his second Lollipops club. Today he called me at lunch to say that He and Cruboss (Leo) were going to work on the boat then he was going to split to go to the club. Late this afternoon I get the the bad news...... Leo was in the bilge working on a fuel system part when a spark ignited a fire in the bilge. He jumped from the boat and climbed on the forklift and pulled the burning boat from the new garage. Unfortunately the garage caught fire also. Sean called me from the road freaking out. It was ugly.
The boat burned to the ground, the drives actually melted out of the boat and the new engines were smoldering on the ground. 300 gallons of fuel gets things pretty hot. The garage also burned to the ground including all of the contents. Since it was attached to the house Seans new bad ass home theater (I mean the real deal) also was totally destroyed and part of the house too.
BigCat has suffered a huge loss in money and in labor of love..... the guy is beside himself. Leo got minor burns and is OK. Damn lucky Leo didnt get seriously hurt.

Insurance investigators live for this stuff.
Man are they going to look up this guy's ass with a microscope or what?
No one got killed, you can always earn more money, go get an 18 pack and lighten up.
Thanks

man. he has to have insurance on that boat. it being newer and all. i just hope he does.
a boat lost, is better then sorrow over life.
i could only imagine the panic. he did react quickly, and it shows this guy has a good head on his shoulders. i hope this man recovers fully

I can tell you right now to never work with any flammable liquids in an enclosed space. I am a fire inspector and specialize in hazardous materials and know how easy it can turn bad. Any spill should be immediately cleaned up with rags, kitty litter or whatever and put into a metal can with a tight fitting lid.

Good god that sucks.... The way I was reacting when I first read it, another person in the room thought someone had died. :(

That was a badass Skater. Tracy had it out at Havasu and Mead a few years back with Sterling power.
As others have said, at least no one was killed or seriously hurt. Sux it burned up the best part of the boat!

That's what I was thinking.
Totally gut wrenching.
