24',25',26' Cats how fast are you goinig(Include HP)

490 horsepower 5350rpm @88 mph with 29Hydromotive prop. trying to find what hull and builder has the best hull and can still turn great.Also trying to find what HP it's going to take to break the 100 mph mark in this size boat.

How many times do I have to tell you. ELIMINATOR makes the best hull. hehehe
25 Daytona, 500HP with Whipple. About 600 PSHP. 1.36 gear ratio, 28 Bravo 1(stock) , 3/4 tanks with 2 people at 5100 rpm, .....Well hell you already know how fast it goes.

28 conquest deck 1200hp quad rotor 1.36 with 30 non lab 6000 rpms 116 gps.motor spins 6500rpms, ran out of river and needed goggles.That was with 3\4 tanks in the middle of July.When I calculated the speed on one of the prop sites, it says the boat should do 125.

isnt 100 enough when the lakes are busy? i like speed also but not all the time ,most of the time we run 40/60 mph with the kids and elders, me and the wife have gone 130 in a 35' motion with 2000 blown hp, very smooth fun ride for a short time ,at 120 you punch it and get pressed into the seat. top end 140/150 never been there never going either.my 23 daytona runs 100/105 good enough for me.

Skull-Rod has been trying to sell the boat for proably a year & a half. I actually talked to him about buying it. That was until I found out just who was selling it. The asking price is very high, but I've seen the Sorcerer and I'm sure it's worth the money.
My cat isn't up and running as of yet. I can tell you of a 25' Talon in Oshkosh Wisconsin that is running 95mph. He has a "built 502" that is painted blue and a blackhawk drive with custom props. My understanding is that it was a Mercury test boat and was the 001 502/blackhawk boat.

A week late to post, but us unblowns need to show our side. 25 Daytona single step 509 (550hp)1:50 28" labbed prop and took it last weekend with full tanks and four people 5600/86mph. Stipped it down the day before with empty tanks but it was blowing like hell and didn't pull any better. Go figure! Duck

27' Cougar MTR, HP500 efi w/whipple, aprox 750hp (high alt pulley). Just ran it at Havasu with new XR drive with Sportmaster. AT 5600rpm I ran out of prop at 95mph with labbed 30. had 2 full tanks of gas (120gal) 4ppl and stocked cooler. With the XZ drive it had higher top end with same prop and gear ratio (1.5).

This is Brad now not Les. It's definitly not 6100 RPMs but I would have to agree that I should get the RPM gauge checked and I should get my own password. But I like the fact that I can talk shit and Les would look like the bad guy. I will have gauge looked at and give update.

Brian's engine is at Paul Pauffs on the Dyno today. The engine will be at Lake Havasu on Thurday. But the boat won't make it for the weekend.

well, been gone a long time and i'm still the slowest cat out there. 25 daytona bbc with a "few" ponies. runs, well gps said 90 somthin' but who believes those things.then again it's all natural and runs every time i put pump gas in it so i cant complain :D eek!
