What RPM,s should a blown 454 idle at???? Motor is a 454 +.030 7.5 to 1 B&M 250 blower, Cam is a 600 lift flat tappet. 110 lobe center. Carbs are 850 mechanicals. Jetted 76 prim. 90 sec.
Im trying to get it to idle at 800 rpm,s. My problem is if I idle it up much more the boat is to fast in the no wake zones....... :idea:

I have never had a v-drive that would be considered no wake zone friendly. Regareless of engine, gear etc.

MINE WANT IDLE THAT LOW SURGES TO MUCH!!!!1000 AND PULL IN AND OUT OF GEAR IN NO WAKE ZONE!!!!!!

I put in a new set of power valves. That seamed to help. Idles around 800-1000 not to bad... :shift:
