Outside rigging

What are the advantages/disadvantages of having a 3rd party rig your boat?
I notice a few people have taken their boats to an outside source to have it rigged....Is it strictly for cost saving or????????

I do not think there is a big cost savings in outsourcing the rigging if you are using a reputable shop. The benefit is having it done the way you want by someone doing custom work on a regular basis. I think alot of people would be surprised if they pulled out there interior & took a lot at some of the rigging
behind it.
