The motor is in the Nordic and ready for plumbing and wiring. Eddie Mcpheeters from Eddies Inboard Marine has been the director of the show and got the engine completed and installed last week. Go fast is going to post some pics of the progress for me ( I hope ) I will re wire everything and have the dash done so far, looks like an air plane, 11 guages 12 switches and a GPS for the speedo. Plumbing is next and hopefully some water in the very near future. More pics as progress continues.

The motor is a 454 30 over and 1/4 inch stroked crank. If I remember right that makes it a 488. The motor has a Crower crank, Brodix heads and Jessel valve train. Eddie II had the block and the rest came from Carson Brummett, he had some stuff that they no longer use as it is small cube and everyone is going big now. We were not looking for max power so it worked out just right. The motor should make 900 hp on pump premium, 1000 hp on av gas and 1100 on race fuel. We will run it on the low setting but will have to give it a whirl at least once on the good stuff. The boat is the family cruiser so the turbo stuff was for a nice quiet efficient cruise more than hot rodding, but it should be able to sort out most of the I/O cruisers if need be.
Do any of you turbo guys have any input on noise from these motors? I have a set of GGB mufflers that I was going to continue using but it would be better to run pipes straight through the transom. The problem is if the thing is loud after all this work and expense my wife will cut my nuts off. The exhaust is above water line always.
Thanks
John

Yeah, I have some zoop seal that I am going to try, hopefully it will perform as they say otherwise I am going to be polishing stuff for the rest of my life.

Well we are little backed up on plumbing so on to the exhaust, I would very much appreciate any input from turbo guys or people who have been around these boats on noise levels with different exhaust systems.
Thanks
