When you put your prop back on do you torque it? If so how many lbs?

Crank it down till the nut strips then back off a 1/4 turn.

Unless its a v-drive boat, for a 1/2 whacker...tight and then fold up one of the small tabs to keep the nut in place.
Unless this is a big baller drive...then have one of your crew worry about it :rolleyes: :rollside:

Yes, I torque it. 55 ft*lbs on an outboard.

I have never used a torch wrench. Just do it tight and make sure the tabs are down on the washer thing so it can't spin off.
