I'm told that I'll get 425 HP.. Although, it's and OLDs - Go easy. Maybe why I should go with A2 right? To keep the RPM's down?

Don't know. I havn't had it on the water yet. I guess I'll really never know until I do, right? I guess my basic question is.. Can a mildly built OLDs turn an A2

An engine does so much work at a sertain rpm thats how you get hp.
So to just say you have 425hp is quite open it could be at 1000rpm or at 8000rpm. So to help you pick the best impeller you need to know where it does the most work !!!

These tests are being done with a box stock Berk "A2" impeller and 91 oct gas !!!
July 4 Ran 69mph @ 4600rpms
Sunday; water was not too good for testing, lots of PWC chop !!!
1st run 73.7mph

2nd run 75.1 @ 5000rpms

Well its not an Offcial Catagory, but I won !!!!
Just my normal run from Rotory Park to the Avi @ WOT !!!
Turned my A2 impeller to almost 5200rpms which is about 77mph.
Melted #6
I will be up and running in 2 weeks !!!
I lost a fuel pump !!!
Now I have run a MPD Berk B- impeller and it turned 5400rpms @around 82-84mph

Just because an engine can spin a given rpm that does not mean it will do it turning a Impeller !!!
And I don't make 859hp I make 618hp !!!
