1980 19ft southwind tunnel dragster, tandem axle trailer both in great shape. has rail system, polished jet, droop & ride plate. to see pics. go to htboat pictures and do search for pat. pump had new wear ring and b imp. installed this year. i will post pictures asking $4000.00 w/o engine or $7500.00 with 454 bbc 30over. hyd. cam. engine runs great. i have more that i can e-mail

jake with the engine from the tahiti with is a mild 454 30over with no dail in of the hardware it did a solid 71. with some dail in of the hardware it should see somewhere between 75-80. if i do not sell it i will play with it some more next year. :D

Pat,
What is the bottom line on the hull with no motor?
It looks from the pics that there is a ride plate but no cradle, is this the case?
Do the motor plates and driveline for the BBC come with it?
What is the condition of the stringers and floor, are the stringers full of empty bolt holes?
Does it need to be re-wired, what gauges are currently installed, do you also have the senders?
Can you tell me a little more about the pump?
Does it have the rack type steering?
What is the condition of the trailer?

bill the boat is in storage off hwy99 and french camp road. would you like to see it for yourself? the pump has a new ultimate wear ring and aggerrsor b imp. yes the ride plate is complete, all new gauges installed yes the plates will go with it. bottom line on boat check it out and we can talk.

The reason why I ask so many questions is that I am trying to get as much information as possible to make a tentative decision without going to see it, I am working 14 hour days at the moment and it will be very hard for me to come by and look at it.

bill the trailer is in great shape with good tires the stringers are not all drill up with holes. the bottom line on the hull without engine is $4000.00. it now has a place divertor on it. the boat is in great shape over all. the cables are new. not sure what type steering is in it. it will come with everything to install a bbc in it. all the fuel lines have been replaced. the wiring should be redone. i never got around to it. it has 2 11 gallon stainless gas tanks. if you e-mail me at slotracer@aol.com i can send you more pictures of it when i get home today.

thats great. did he leave a deposit? like i said no rush now. i am signing a 2 year lease tomorrow. so now i can have all toys in one spot inside where i can work on them as i want. just was getting old paying for storage and not being able to work on them where they were outside in 90+ heat is no fun :frown: besides my new boat has always been kept inside. up here they wanted $7.25 a foot including the swim step which for the one boat alone was $178.00 per month and no working on it at all. hell who knows i may get a bug up my a$$ and still put the blower engine in it. when i set up the shop i can see what all i have. hell bought a new ready to run msd dist from summit onlt to find out i already had one i a box :notam: in my garage, its hell getting old.

cy not really to worried if it sells or not right now. got me a 1600 s.f. shop to keep all my toys in. winter time is not to good of time to sell boats anyway. going to pull off the tunnel ram and install a airgap and 850 holley on it and do some adjustments on the plates and see what it will do. when next year rolls around i am sure it will sell.

Doesn't cost anything to keep a boat that is paid off. Not like owning a horse. And you have the shop anyways. Congrats on the shop too by the way. Maybe you could sell it if everyone and their mother wasn't selling theirs too at the same time. I like that boat but that V-drive of yours puts it to shame. That is a very clean boat. I would drive it even if it is a v-drive.
