Ah that design is not a deffinate.

Well, I hope they do a better job building it than my model. It is a pile! 4th Generation. My mom has one also (Firebird) and we have many of the same issues. I like driving it, but it takes a lot of maintenance. Stupid stuff breaking like the t-top lock fell out and the button for the trunk popped off. $400 to replace the both of them. :yuk: 3 coils on it and everyone of those mo-fos had to be replaced, there's more, but I'll end my rant here. :D
Anyway, hope the new one is better.

I get all the mags & I have not seen this picture, The only problem is, after GM get done with it for production [if ever] it will be a front-wheel drive based on the Cobalt. :yuk:

I wonder if the production car will have tires/wheels/fender clearance like that rendering? :D

Oh really?
Well for starters, GM has stopped development on their new RWD platforms. If they make it, it will be FWD or AWD.

Let,s hope not. Front wheel drive American muscle car would be B.S

Always loved Camaro's till we bought one. Doors to big, and its a bitch to get into in a tight parking spot. It gets a little lose at around 95mph, My F350 handles at speed better then our so called sports car. Not to mention all the little crap that broke on both 4th gen chassis at the same milage.

you had bad luck!!!
I had a 2000 SS (6spd) and it was a great car for the 3 years I owned it!
With a cam/headers it ran 11.90@117 in the quarter mile.
I had the upgraded SLP suspension and it handled amazing.(I had the car over 150 more than a couple times)
The V6 cars were junk but the V8 cars were the biggest bang for the buck car from 98-02 (Nothing could touch there performance for less than 45K)
If you wanted the motor combo in a nicer package you should have poneyed up the extra cash for a vett.(Motor/Trans is the same the extr 20K goes into suspension and fit and finish)

I'll tell you what I would do with that thing...
Buy it, and before I had to drive it I would give it to skeepwerkzaz and have him make it cool.
Then, I would drive the hell out of it. Very cool look. I love the slight nod to the only good looking Camaro ever, the first gen.

I think a 400hp LS2 would look great between the fenderwells!!;)
You ready to unload those wheels off your vette yet? :D

Glad to hear, I always wanted a Vette till we got the Camaro. Gonna look at the Shelby Mustang next year, to replace the camaro if I have my way. Nothing against the GM stuff. When, if ever are they going to offer the new camaro? BTW, I'm a tight wad, so pony up for more, is not part of the plan.
You are right Camaro was the most bang for the buck.

The new Shelby should be cool although I hate the seating position and shifter location in every mustang since 94
The 03-04 Cobras were a tremendous performance value they were just too heavy and exspensive to insure.(I still hate the seats/shifter)
Hopefully they keep the price of the Shelby under 40K because alot of people will have a problem paying more than that for a mustang.(Except Saleen/Roush/Steeda owners;))
If you really want to drive a car that will freak you out you should try the EVO 8. (Not a huge import fan but that car i pretty amazing)
There is no car on the market that will out handle that car for under 100K.It's truly impressive and alot of fun.

Maybe soon. I am going to have to off my car and get a roadster unfortunately. This mod I want to do at Custom Reflections has to start with a roadster, not a Z.

I don't think the Kinesis would work for that. At least not the ones I have. I think it would need a more retro look of some sort. Like the 20" torq-thrusts or something.

let me know as you get closer....
Hopefully we can work a trade+ cash deal.
I need wheels for a mag shoot soon and seem to be having bad luck with wheel sponsors.(wating on I forged for a bit,AR approved me and then found out the wheels I wanted are on back order and demand dosen't justify a new build)
there was a beautiful yellow crcoach works at SEMA last year that I was drooling over. ;)
That would make a bitchin 2nd car!!!!!(Hot rod with all the benifits of a new vette)

you proably dont have enough milage on it yet. my first 95 z28 conv, i was delivering it for the sale. i thought it had stick shift problem . but the rear axle blew out. i dropped 1500 on price. so i wouldnt have to deal with it. 2nd 97 trans am driveshaft sold that one. i know the problem when i sell them and i tell buyers. but i sell them cheap. you just cant hammer those 4th generations

correction, you can hammer the 4th gens, just be prepared to pay to fix it after a 1/4 mile pass.......I dated a girl that had a 99 in the low 10's all motor.....the car is now in the low 9's with a new owner and some spray.

My car had well over 300 passes on slicks at the local S.California tracks(Pomona,Carlsbad,Famoso,Fontana) and ran perfect until I went into the motor.
I only kept the car for 3 years and sold it when it still had value.
The only thing I had to replace was the clutch.(98-00 hydralics sucked and it would slip on a hard launch)
I changed the oil every 3,000 the tranny fluid every 10,000 and never had a problem.
The LS based motors are 10X better than the LT1 cars but tend to be a little finicky when you bolt heads and cam on without going through the motor.
LS1 = best small block ever built :D

Well, I promise nothing until I pull the trigger on something else. I still love my car, but the "what's next" bug is kind of biting hard. This thing is pretty much done, so with no more work to do on it, I have a tough time enjoying it. ;)
If the shoot gets crunched for time, you are welcome to borrow mine if need be. They certainly will match well. I'm sure Kinesis would be stoked...

GM will bring the Camaro back as a publicity sales stunt. They`ll sell a few hundred thousand then quit production. Anything they build is guaranteed to be a piece of sheet. They sold the U.S.A. out. :yuk:
