Hands down... LG's in Palm Desert. The "Jewel in the Crown" aged steak wipes em all out. No foofy junk! Great service and the best steak...
I have been to all the others. Maestro's had to take the steak back.. Ruth's is too buttery.. I beleive a good steak starts with the meat they get. Anyone can doctor up a hunk of beef.

LG's is great, when I went to college we lived at the Butcher Shop in Mission Valley before they moved.
Ruth Chris is great just don't like the butter.
You sure can't be Mastros tower of seafood.
But Mortons is the only one with soufles for desert.

I think Ruth's Chris is the best, but Flemming's is also very good. I believe it was started by the guy that used to have the Ruth's Chris franchise on the west coast (Paul Flemming).
He also started PF Chang's.
I ate at Morton's once...would never go back.

Brown Derby works…
Although, 555 in Long Beach is up there…
Ruth's Chris is really good but is it worth the price?...
Of course, ever get a In-N-Out at 1:30 in the morning after getting off of Havasu? Now thats a good meal!!!

Ruth's Chris is the most consistent across the board, and the hot plate helps as opposed to many Morton's I have tried and have yet to get a truly hot steak. Maestro's has a bone-in filet that is killer and great atmosphere !!
Oh yeah, Del Friscos is yet another top flight chain that should be considered..

I concur, Flemings is awesome. Ruth Chris is great and always consistent - I ask for the steak without any butter when I go to RC. In Palm Desert, Sullivans Steak House is pretty good as well.

Brown Derby in Arcadia is good but I think the “Nostalgic" part of it is why it’s a good place to go, especially after a day at the races… :D
There also is the “Arches” in Newport Beach (no, not McDonalds “arches”)
And the “Houston’s” in Irvine is pretty good too…

Mastro's all the way. If you live in Newport Beach, your getting a place called the Ocean Club. Owned by the same family business that owns Mastro's. Awesome place, however, it is not the cheap seats. FYI. I love the Ocean Club here at Kierland center and hang out there a couple of times a week. Makes Ruth Chris seem like McDonalds........ :yuk:
