Any body ever had or heard of a 12jb-a berkeley? Its a split bowl pump.

I think that is what I have. I know my pump is a JB and the -a designates the original impeller that was inside the pump.
These are older pumps mine is on a 70 Rogers and it too is a split bowl.
Only now I think I would like to find a G bowl..

I was wondering if its the same as the G bowl ?

As I have been told the main difference between the B and G bowls is the length of the Vanes.
On the B bowl the vanes exiting do not come level with the mounting flange for the nozzle.
On a G bowl the vanes are longer and come closer to the mounting flange and in some cases go past the mounting flange.
The G bowl tend to straighten the flow of water more than a B for a straight exit from the nozzle rather than a swirling pattern of a B bowl.
