Focal, eh? Not messing around, are ya. I'm sticking with Eclipse for the full/high stuff. If I lost my Eclipse connection, I would do the Focals (6x9s, though) too. :D

I put 4 pairs of Focal in my boat, and it has impressed the hell out of me how good they sound. Way better than 6 pairs of MB Quart in my last boat.

I've got 2 pairs of Focals in my boat, plus the W7 and the removable satellite speakers on the cymbal stands and they pretty much get the job done. ;)

M-34......what focal systems did you have? PolyGlass, K2, or utopia's? two or three way systems? Just curious. I wanted to do the Utopia's but the max power rating is pretty low.

The Utopias were replaced with the Grand Utopias. The 6.5 component model is the kit no. 7 and retails for 4700.00. It has the JM Labs Beryllium Tweeter and a crazy crossover...

I put the Focal K2's in my last truck and was truly impressed with there sound. The midbass was amazing.
I however would not put them in a boat as my speakers got hammered when they were exsposed to a little water.(rain going down the door?)
They were one of the best sounding speaker I have had and the only speaker I have had gone bad in less than a year. :frown:

Was it the woofer that went bad?
The k2 component drivers are not ib by design. They need an enclosure. If they were not installed correctly, this is likely why your speaker failed..

ADAM....your "WIRED FOR SOUND" right? I may need to do some custom glass work on the interior side pods to get these three way's to fit. And Roz has said that the 6.5 sub's and mid's SHOULD BE boxed. .....IF you not with WIRED.....my bad :(
