I swicthed from performer intake to a victor jr. now i think I may be running a little lean. Can that happen by just
changing intakes????????

It's quite possible, what you did was go from a dual plane manifold to a single plane design. What happens is now instead of two plenums each feeding half of your engine, you have all eight clyinders feedin off of a common plenum. So it's a good guess you might be a tad lean.
