Im about to put a puke tank on my motor. I need to know how to connect the lines to my valve covers. My valve covers have a standard 1 1/4 holes that require the rubber grommet for breathers. How can i connect a puke tank to these?

there called burn downs. i dont know how to link or i would show you. Rex carries them, there a bolt on breather with built in baffles and turn at the top.A 1 inch pipe fitting for a line to go to the puke tank

I can't use burn downs cause my valve covers are not flat.

I think they make an angled one that will mount to the side of the valve cover.

I had a motor that had a puke tank mounted on the ski tow. The hoses connected to the valve covers at the back, not on top but on the end by using some Earls fittings. If you are interested I could put a pic up. If you are really interested I still have the valve covers ( Moroso stamped chrome) and the tank. It's a nice seamless alum, round with KN breathers and a drain. We can work something out.

I was thinking about useing a couple of these. They just push into the gromet.

I ordered the tank from Rex Marine. The breathers are from CP.

I've got those same covers on mine...
Both your breathers are at the front, right? Just swap your valve covers from side to side. Then the holes would be at the back & closer to the puke tank so you'll be able to keep the lines short from the breathers....

I picked up a couple of 90 degree AN fittings that thread rather tightly into the rubber gromet and made lines to go to the puke tank from there. It is easy to add oil by unthreading one side, I only keep them hand tight and have never had a leak of oil from the setup at any point in the assembly. Makes it easy to remove when the valve covers need to come off. You can just measure the ID of your gromet and go from there. I have run this for 2 years, and have only needed to replace one gromet due to cracking which will happen over time.

The ones that Rex sells are not 1 inch pipe. They are -16 O ring.

Or, if 460 wanted to leave those breathers at the front, just punch another couple holes at the back. When you buy those valve covers new, they don't have any holes at all(mine didn't anyway). Just spots underneath that resemble "knockouts" at each end marking a spot to drill. I had to do mine, it didn't hurt...... much! :D :D
(and using a 1 1/4" hole saw was a little too big as the grommets are a little bit loose in the covers, just a little heads-up)

Thanks! I switch 'em around a bit. Figured it was time to shuffle them again! :D I wanted to use it awhile back & didn't think it would fly, but Hoolign's did so, there it be!!

Get some weld in alum. fittings -10 or whatever line size you are using and have them tig welded into where you want them on the valve cover. The weld in fittings are cheap. This way you don't have to mess with rubber gromets and crap. Run your braided lines to the puke tank like JBB did.
