Jet Away

I am just getting my boat back together...there is no money for a jet away in the budget.
So how do you guys go about firing up the engine and stuff with out bringing it to the lake?

Unhook the drive line, or take it to the lake, or take the kids grocery money to rebuild the pump. Pretty easy to unhook driveline on a four point, if its a 3 point where the bellhousing sits on the pump, take er to the lake. Running it in the driveway will :eat: up the bearings and packing.

You can take your chances and run it for a minute or so out of the water (not recommended). Or disconnect your driveline (provided you have the driveshaft that you're able to take apart).

IF you want to run it for a few minutes put a hose in the nozzle and close the reverse bucket. Then turn the water on full blast. The fire your motor and turn on the hose that feeds the motor. You will need 2 hoses. The one in the pump help cools the wearring. Hope this helps....
