What should I expect to pay for:
Used 26' - 27' Canopied openbow cat (S496 to S525)
Used 28' - 30' Canopied openbow cat (T496 to T525)
I know it all depends on the brand and equipment but I have no idea what is a good price on these things. In the case of the twins, I'll see one advertised for low $100K's stating a new one cost $250K+ . If that is true I sure as hell don't want a new one. Oh and BTW I know the DCB's are the best, I can't afford one of thoses anyway ;) . Just looking for some guidance.

Talk to Keith Sayre at Conquest. He usually has a line on a ton of used boats.

ALOT!.... J/K. Can you PLEASE be anymore vague! LOL.
It depends on the model and equipment. I am not sure about used but the new pricing varies quite a bit.
New pricing:
26-27 with a single, new are $85,000-120,000 depending on model and options.
28-30 with duals, new are $140,000-210,000 depending on model and options.
a new boat will take quite a hit after it rolls off the lot.

I would never buy new. (well... it would have to be an incredible deal) There are too many 2-5 year old boats out there with less than 100 hrs on them. As I said I have seen some 3 or 4 year old twin engine cats claiming the price is $100,000 less than new. Now that's a hit! Of course the mfg's raise their prices every year but that's still a huge hit!

it seems that the bigger boats take a much bigger hit than the smaller ones......
I dunno, maybe cuz those bigger boats were way overpriced to begin with.....

Funny, I met the guy that bought it at the gas station at the 40 on the regatta weekend...he had barely had it and was already thinking of trading up to a 29 with twins...:)

I've seen it on Traderonline. Love it! But it's a closed bow and way more motor than I want.

Mrs V, I love nothing more than to hand you a check (Especially if it comes with pictures  ) But Otter's pockets aren't that deep. Showed it to MrsRiverOtter and she liked it too, but.... I didn't realize y'all opted for the 575's, thought it had 525's. Good luck. One of the nicest I've ever seen
