At first I thought nothing of this other than it being a extremely sad story. It happened a few minutes ahead of me yesterday morning on my way to work...and then I read this article and realize its one of my buddies and a fellow boater at havasu...Tommy Wetzel!!! who owns Exotic Limos! I cant imagine whats going on with him right now...has anyone talked to him???

COSTA MESA – A woman who fell to her death from a Hummer limousine traveling south on Interstate 405 was a 25-year-old singer in a punk rock band and mother of two, authorities said.
Jessica Rowe, of Irvine, died at 5:08 a.m. Wednesday after being struck by at least a dozen cars. A 20-mile rush hour traffic jam resulted when the southbound lanes were closed while the incident was investigated.

Authorities say they don't know what prompted Rowe to sit in an open window on the passenger side of the black limo before jumping.
"We're still investigating, but based on interviews with some people who were in the limo it looks like a suicide," said Sgt. Marty Carver, a spokesman for the Costa Mesa Police Department. "It was a gruesome scene."
Rowe was in a group of six people who were socializing Tuesday night at the Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, according to Tommy Wetzel, 41, owner of Exotic Limousines Inc. in Newport Beach.
Wetzel said his driver told him that Rowe and her boyfriend had argued at the Standard, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"They were having words throughout the night," Wetzel told the Times.
The group later went to a Costa Mesa home, where they continued to party before leaving for Rowe's home, police said. Rowe jumped from the limousine on the way there, Wetzel said the driver told him.
The passengers had been drinking, but it was not known whether the woman was intoxicated, Carver said.

Saw it on the news last night, looked pretty bad. From reading the article, it doesn't sound like your buddy is involved other than he owns the company.

I heard some other stuff too...but they said the body parts were scattered for almost a mile!!! people who hit her had no idea what it was...so they called the cops and said they hit something on the freeway....imagine getting out of your car and seeing blood all over it.... :frown: such a sad story...how could everyone let her jump out the window!!!???

could be exactly the opposite. Maybe they helped her out. You never know...especially when the "white" was probably a-plenty at that hour. Very sad in either case......Poor little kiddies don't ever deserve this kind of heartbreak in their lives. :frown:

The nice side of me wishes I didn't have to agree with riodog, but I have to. Will eventually be the best thing that could happen to those kids most likely.
Mom partying at 4AM, likely higher than a weather balloon (to hell with a kite), on lord knows how many different things, or how often this was a regular "party evening event".
Who knows, maybe she fell, maybe she jumped, she's likely better off, and so are her kids.

F that piece of trash for putting other drivers in jeapordy, who could have been killed or hurt on their way home from their respectable jobs to see their family. Dude you are what? 21 years old. Looks to me you are the newbie. There is a little more to life than post counts. It's called life experience.
