Maiden Flight of a Model B-52
Actually has 8 "real turbines" at about $1500 each! It took over 2 years to
build. It has a wing span of about 22 feet and takes multiple pilots, as there
are so many things to control. Do you think they were nervous during the maiden
flight? It's unbelievable that someone would make this --- all real turbines!
Check out the movie link below to see the first flight.

Sounded like a windy day...should have stayed grounded.

Holy crap that would make a guy cry. I know how much time and money it takes me just to build .40 sized planes.

Check out the similarities between the R/C crash and the real thing...
Fairchild AFB B-52 crash (http://media.putfile.com/Airplane--crash--B-52--military--plane)
The pilot was known as a "cowboy" and put the aircraft in a steep bank during a go-around. The real and model aircraft behaved the same- 60 degree + bank equals inside wing stall, roll inverted, and crash.
THis is a better clip of the R/C model...

What no video of the owner explaining why his beautiful bird crashed, bad judgement or bad weather or both. Too bad that was a nice piece of work.
