Need scoop cover

I've looked around and can't find a cover for this Hilborn style air scoop.

I tried Summit, Jeg's, Good vibes, etc and was unsuccessful.
The only one I found had a company monogram that I didn't want.
My previous trusty but ugly tupperware container fit good but it took flight from the floor of the boat yesterday and now it's somewhere with all the other items on the lake bottom.

I think I saw a scoop like that with a Cover from BDS Blowers or The Blower Shop ??
or cut an oval out of plexiglass then glue some foam to the back to hold it in the scoop ??? I did that once :confused:

Any decent upholstery shop should be able to make you one. They may want you to bring the scoop to verify fit, or you may be able to just bring them a template of the opening. That way you can get whatever color you want, and a custom fit. If you can't get one made there, I know a couple of shops out here that can do it for you.

i ahve one made of black vinal u can have for the shipping.....its not the best i ever saw but not bad at all....really tight though

go down to your local auto parts store and get you a 6 to 8 inch terry cloth waxing pad that has elastic they work great! :p

I've used the cover off a large off road lights for one of those. Worked great.
The original one was from KC, then it got replaced with a plain black one.

I think I've seen that in the BDS catalog also. If anything an upholtstry shop could whip you up something easy. Custom colors also.

I took Obnoxious 1's suggestion and had an upholstery shop make one about three weeks ago.

Creator might be able to do one in CarbonFiber.

Have a loop sewn on it, to hang the ignition key from. ;) That way you won't forget to remove it before starting...trust me on this one :D
