Photos taken on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Classic Boats Beach Bash, held at the Avi Resort outside Laughlin, Nevada:

You do NOT need to register or be a Shutterfly member to view these photos. Simply click on the purple "View Pictures" button and then click the thumbnails to see larger versions of the photos. I have contact information for the owners of most of these boats, but I could probably use some help identifying the ones that aren't labeled.
I'll probably run a story on CBBB in the November/December 2005 issue of Hot Boat, with some of the boats broken out for expanded feature coverage (similar to the Columbus, Ohio, jetboat coverage back in the February 2005 issue). I had a good time at the event. Special thanks to my personal chauffer, Jason, who really went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was looked after. The heat really killed me on Saturday, so I left that night. It was really fun meeting many of the attendees, except for one guy who walked up to me without introducing himself to give me a piece of his alleged mind:
Guy: You the editor of Hot Boat?
Me: Yes, I am.
Guy: I'll tell you what. If you don't expand that Jet Tech, I ain't gonna subscribe no more. (walks away)
Well, gotta run figure out how to expand that column, because I would really hate to make that charming man unhappy!

Thanks for the pics Brett ... very cool. Unfortunately, some of us had to stay back and hold the fort down, looks like I missed a good time!

I mean, I appreciate that the guy likes Jet Tech and wants more. But you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. (By which I mean, if he'd get me a hooker, I'd expand Jet Tech to two pages every month.)
Actually, one of the reasons Jet Tech isn't bigger and doesn't run more often is that people tend to go to the online forums now to get their questions answered. I may have to ask people here to carbon-copy the questions they post here to V-Drive Tech and Jet Tech. We're seriously running low on questions.

Maybe if you got Jack Mc of MPD to do the Jet Tech articals people would ask more questions !!!

Brett, FYI: "Boat #17" and "Cutie5" are LakesOnly's boat and model Lisa Merrill.
Nice meeting you on Saturday and laughing with you. Lisa will be following up with you in regards to reviewing photos prior to use. I'll PM ya with the boat particulars, etc.
Thanks, ;)

Ha ha you gotta love being able to cut and paste these words together. My pleasure Brett we had a great time I hope the continuous drunken party and constant giggling wasn't annoying to you. I know we all had a blast and are looking forward to another great time on the water in the near future. But now I know what kind of entertainment needs to arranged next time ;) .

Yupper, that's me and minime. One cool thing about getting older..........the cheekflap starts around 45 mph now. It at least makes ya feel like you're doing 90.
Every time I go for a WOT run I feel like Dan Akroyd and Chevy Chase when they got on the that spinny thing in the movie "Spies Like Us".
