The boat was a complete pile of garbage when my father purchased it. After lots of time and money, the boat is where I had always hoped it would be, and now I sell it. :( It fires off with the tap of a key and runs hard all day long. Has a new gear box, rudder, floor, carb, fuel pump...the list goes on. Those are pics of it driving away with the new owner, I just hope he takes good care of her, cause she is loyal. :(
Now the Biesmeyer begins...I will never see this day again, cause the Biesmeyer is going to stay with the family, I have a feeling it is going to be the perfect boat and do what I have always wanted. :)

For a minute there, when I was shaking his hand, I had alot of memories rolling through my head. I was thinking about how proud my grandpa that passed away was of that boat, he thought the world of that thing, he only took one ride in it and he had a smile from ear to ear. I thought about the trips out to Silverwood lake when I was just a little punk, coasting up to a beach full of deer. The trips we used to take up to Isabella, the memories will always be there though.
I am looking forward to taking my time, polishing and buying new GOOD parts for the B Boat.
Thanks again Tim, if it wasnt for your work on the floor, this bad boy might not be pulling out of the driveway and going home with its new owner, you are a good friend.

Hey Dmontzsta,
Is that your Biesmeyer project under the cover? Does it have an interior?
If so, can you snap some pics and send them to me? I'm looking for some ideas for a Spectra 20.

I offered it to him, just to even let him know it is a solid boat, but he refused it, even said the first trip out is the river, which I told him isnt the best idea cause the boat was just put together, and if you have a problem, it is a long ways from home.

If I were you, I would forget about everything, just knowing I owned such a bitchen boat. I would probably move to Needles and work at McDonalds, just to make enough money for alcohol to run the boat and my trailer.

dude i would love to get my flattie back from paint agian. but they are taking their sweet ass time. i want it home so i can put it back together and sell it.to much money to get these boats going and stay running. im burned out and broke. this maybe my last boat. as i cant, (after the last trip to the river) see myself dumping the money then having water pump fail. v drive problems then nail something on the 15 in cajon blowing out a tire on my truck. and have gm roadside tell me they have no one contracted for cajon pass. so i need to pay out of pocket. and get reimbersted <sp> it was a tough build up and a tough trip. im sure i have seen the boat you sold along time ago
good luck with new boat

I too will be forced with this when I finally decide to step up to a cruiser which might happen sooner than I think since a Spectra 20 just popped up that has my name all over it. A fact of life. You have to sell stuff to make room in the garage and the wallet for new stuff. You will have the memories and a shit load of pictures to take you back to those good times. Set your sights on the Biesmeyer Don and you will get fired up about your new project. I sold my old show truck a few years back and that was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do but I did it to fund the purchase of the Hallett and after enjoying it for approx. 4 boating seasons it was definitely a solid decision. I know how you feel as I get attached to stuff to and have a tough time letting go. Can't keep everything forever. Time to move on.

Talked to the new owner today, he said he took it to Elsinore. It is pretty ironic that I was right across the street from Cranes with VDV most of the day and he was there at the same time. When I asked him how it was he said...
"That shits fast, no leaks, man that shits fast, turns pretty good too, that shit was fast"
He took it out there solo, no leaks, turned right over and ran hard all day for him, no problems. I feel pretty damn good about that, all the new gear the kid should have fun for a loooong time.
