What kind of boating???You can try pyramid....its salty but plenty big to run in...i think bigger than Tahoe if you can believe that. The wind kicks up a bit in the afternoon though. Not much to see there though. Prosser, Boca, Davis, donner, there are quite a few lakes up around Reno...take your pick.

There is Lake Lahaton to that is good for sking and board plus there is some fast flatties there to, but if you are looking for a party spot like LHC forget about it... maybe once or twice a year there is some big party's but that is about all
