I was a dummy and bought some headers off of ebay. I thought they would fit my 427 ford. Oh well call me a DF.
I can take some pictures and have some one post them, but thought I would see if their is an interest first.
Bassett's with braces and pressure regulator and water lines. I paid $410.00 plus shipping last week. They are of no use to me and in great shape.

I know jet boat headers on a V-Drive point up into the air.

the final angle of the collecters are differant. having to do with the motor mounted in opposite dirrection.

I know jet boat headers on a V-Drive point up into the air.
If that is the case it would help prevent some exsess water in the exhaust with them pointed down right ???

maybe, but that doesnt help the collectors and it probably will not clear your transom. :D

werd up. Your jet boat looks similar to ntwotrance's. We tried to put some basset v-drive twisties on his and no dice.

I don't think it makes much difference which way the engine is facing, it's more due to the basic setup. On jets the stern facing end of the engine is usually lower than the bow facing end. On V-drives it's usually the opposite, whether crank or snout driven.

These are still for sale. I really want to get rid of them so all offers are taken.

Shipppng cost me $90.00 to get them from AZ to Boise ID. I paid $410.00 plus shipping. (not that what I paid makes much difference)
I would take $200.00 plus shipping.
Let the bidding begin...

Not sure Jim, BUT the motor may be in backwards so the headers would have to point forwards....
Rio
The heads are interchangable from bank to bank/exhaust port layout is the same, so the headers will fit either way regardless of motor positioning. So the collector angle (reative to port row plane) must be different than the jet boat headers.
Anyway, I got zoomies with my hydro motor deal, so I don't need 'em. Looks like it's between 058 & Dmontzsta. (Aw, c' mon 058, he needs 'em more than you do. ;) )

or...... since he is in Boise, i could drag my boat over there and see if they would fit. :D reason i think they might fit is cause i have jet headers now, and they stick up in the air pretty dang far, probably a good 8" above the transom.

Dave, if you can test-fit those headers before buying.....Do so!!!. I've got a jet that is probably a couple inches shallower than yours. When I first fired the engine, it was with a set of old v-drive headers. They only cleared my transom by about an inch. They also looked rather odd being that they pointed downward so much relative to the hull. Here's a couple pics showing my engine from the side with the correct jet headers. You can see just how high the engine sits relative to the transom/gunnels. The collectors are just about parallel to the gunnels.

a buddy of mine has a shilo (looks like a copy of my southwind) with a BBC and his headers are literally less than an inch from the transom. i cant even slide my fingers under one side. i think it kinda looks cool that way.
