Where do you start on this motor, It has 75 hours on it since new and makes good power now but what can I do to it to get things jump started for next season? Have any good ideas, within reason . This will be my first efi boat motor.

Whipple charger is great,,,I have one on mine,,,75 trouble free hours, on motor,,,not on the drive though. Anyway it produces 750 hp at the prop and 725 ft lbs of torque,,,,pushes my Carrera party effect to a solid 90....

Been thinking about doing a pro charger on it if things work out....The motor only has 75 hours on it so I guess it is fresh.....Merc told me it was a 2001 model motor.....guess it makes it a gen VI, I Hope because in reality I am only looking for a bout 650 HP out of it, Don't really think that is pushing it too much.

That's was my situation last year. 70 hours or so and decided to Whipple it. '02HP500 EFI. Runs amazingly well with a ton of power. I also replaced the head gaskets, valves, springs, and added a sea strainer for the inter cooler.
Water pressure is critical so I installed a water pressure gauge to monitor it.
Have over 100 hours on it now and it runs perfectly. Very happy and would recommend it to anyone as long as they do it right.
