Anthony,
That is the best DCB I have every seen and to think a ride in El Diablo started all of this madness. You need to repay the favor with a ride in Classified. That truely is the best DCB I have ever seen. You really raised the bar. Good job.
We will be in Havasu August 26-29. Hope to see you then.

I would still say you have the baddest 26 ever put together but I agree this 29' is the nicest 29' out of DCB yet. And most that I have seen are bad ass but this boat just sets a whole new level of boat bling.

One thing I love about #6's and stand off boxes is they lessen the amount of hardware attached to the transom directly...definitely leaves a cleaner looking transom's (#6's even more clean) and allows for easier cleaning to the transom...

Why don't they use hatch hinges that attach from the inside, like the dana hatch hinge set up? I think that they make this way look good, just wondering why they do it this way.

I am sure they will next year since they see them on boats....they constantly evolve, and when they do they don't call it the Carbon Series...just becomes a standard if not that big or small change in tooling, but something like capping will be an option..

Charley
08-20-2005, 11:14 AM
I will say that one of the changes on the 32 is a recessed billet hinge system on the hatch... I spoke with Dave the other day and he is really excited about this boat because he has really taken his time on the design and plug execution process... he has already made at least a dozen tweaks/upgrades on it since it's inception.... I know I have been waiting a few extra months but at least I know why it's late and there is good reasoning behind it ;)

Funny, my Magic has hidden hatch hinges and it is a 2002. :rollside: I guess it's evolved.
It does look like that Carbon Series stole some ideas from someone down
South.

I did not start this. I asked a simple question, and the ***boat norm of turning it took over. I like DCB, and if I could afford one, I would maybe buy it. I have a friend or 2 in the DCB union, and they are nice people. One of them is a little "ogar" like  , but overall a nice guy. Nice enough to form a business relationship with for a few years. :p
I don't know where the hinges are on my boat, never looked, but I think my motors are in there.

Charley,
I have been working like a dog. We are building a new home in Glendora and that has be a double edge knife. Spend time on the house and spend time trying to pay for it. I'm the first to admit that I have not been a good friend/contributer to these boards.

And finally my comments for you. I thought your F26 was the best paint/gel job I had ever seen. I told you that earlier this year. Now you go out and raise the bar further than I ever thought it could be set.
I am going to be looking for you next weekend. It is time to repay the favor. Don't tell anyone at DCB that I am going for a ride with you. They may think I am the next easy sale. Your Hot Rod is totally bad ass and I am so excited to see it and go for a ride. I will call your cell just before next weekend to make plans to hook up. See you in a few days.
