Trouble with pics

I am a little irratated. I just dont get it. I resized them but then it says invaled photo or something like that. What is up?

Need to be Jpeg not bmp's...open the pic and click on save as. Then save the pic as a .jpg then try again

I'm not the quickest with the whole picture post thing either but I'm having the same problem and they are saved in JPEG. This is the message....
