I will say i'm skipping the trip I had planned for this weekend to go out and stay longer labor day weekend. Average trip so far has been about $350 in just fuel.....For the tow vehicle and gas in the boat. But that was at 2.50 a gallon. SCARY!

The thought of that is just way too depressing. I prefer to look at the fun we have and realize that you can't put a price on that. :D

Have you been talking to my in-laws? If you put all of those figures together, it would show how little logic we have with our money.
I'd rather keep the boat than compute the figures.

Hmmm...seeing my 8 year old get up on skis for the first time, and then tossing my 12 year old son off the tube....priceless.
A friend of mine recently told me that he was reading up on family realtionship building, etc. He quoted a survey that said the number one activity for bringing families together and building lasting memories, was not camping, but rather, boating. Nothing like it, i.m.o. :D :D :D

Boat payment = $22.95 every 2 months. Sometimes less on holiday weekends.
Boat fuel ='s About 50 deep breaths which is nothing and the oars came with the purchase of the boat.
Boat Insurance = They laughed at me when I asked to insure my rubber raft
Registration = No cost.........but i did steal the stickers off a wave runner and attach to the raft, jut so I could look legit.
Total cost NOT including the Goose ='s $22.95

Not ony that, I save money every month by owning a house. The hotels bills and eating out every night with 5 kids two weekends a month cost way more than my house payment. Not to mention the tax benies and appriciation.
And then you got the parties and the memories. Priceless!

I used to think boating was an expensive habit, then I got into the whole Sand Rail thing. Now it's 12 months a year, no break in the out going cash flow. Wouldn't give it up for anything. :D
