Plowman's 2005

Month and a half to Plowman's. Just to let you guys know, as of 5 this afternoon, there were only 2 reservable spots left at Plowman's. They did not have power. Indian Lodge is filling quickly. Their number is 254-889-3643, Tim and Barb Jones. As many of you already know, they are very good fiolks. If anyone is needing help finding a place to stay for that weekend, feel free to contact me at 254-889-3336 or snowman069@hotmail.com . We do need to be clear on one thing, I am not putting this deal together, it has become pretty much self-sustaining. I found out after several years of putting this thing on that I was pretty much responsible for anything that might have happened there that weekend. It just won't be my fault if someone decides to run around in the park naked in front of an elderly couple. Some of you know what I'm referring to. Don't mind trying to help out anyone if I can though. For what it's worth, after all these years of putting this thing on, I was not able to get a camping spot this year. I do have a plan though. Living 5 miles from the park has it's advantages. Look forward to seeing everyone..

There is a free park about 4 miles north of Plowman's at Kimball Bend bridge on highwat 174 about 20 miles south of Cleburne. It's right below my house. There is a good boat ramp there and just a short boat ride to Plowman's. Probably not a bad idea to put in there anyway and go by boat. Plowman's was extremely crowded last year and they quit letting vehicles in. There are several parks around the lake. Another park a couple of miles above Kimball is Chisolm Trail. We used to have this get together up there. It's a pay park but not Corp.

Thanksdang boy read the threads!!! nah its every year and its allways the first weekend in oct. so basicly this year people will show up sept 30th and stay till sunday evening on oct 2nd. everybody hangs out at plowmans park.... all kinds of boats are invited!

I took Oldbucks advise and already booked a room at Indian Lodge.
Will be bringing a few friends and more boats, I think several of the guys on the Taylor site will be coming.
I know of 3 to 4 more boats for sure.

Hey Lewd .... Thanks for the invite. We are racing in Bryan this weekend and we are supposed to run our Top Sportsman car at Sealy next weekend in a IHRA division race that was rained out earlier this year. Then we are supposed to go up to Ft Cobb, Ok the next weekend for that outlaw boat race. Would love to make it though and I consider it just as big a deal as Plowman's. Have a hell of a time........

Its perty easy to get there from College Station. You will take 6 most of the way. If you plan on making it, I would suggest calling Indian Lodge perdy quick to try to get reservations. It is about a 3 hour drive from BCS. If you want, you can follow us up there. We plan on leaving out around noon on that friday. Just let me know.

Why yes it is. I really like the boat and on the top-end it runs really strong but its too heavy for racing so i'm just running my 557 A460 motor in the lake boat, on 92 pump gas it still turns a 'A' about 6200. Not bad for a Ford? I was going to run N2o but i think for a lake boat its runs good enough. Got my fingers crossed for Plowmans.

Borderlinecrazy from Del Rio with his TX-20 Warhawk Performance Boat built by Jim Robertson from Alabama with the 502 BBC built by Ron Sporl Racing Motors will be there this year for sure. Was there last year without the boat as an observer and can't miss the event this year without it.
Will be staying with Cookieman in Granbury at his beautiful home and driving down for the festivities. Looking forward to this years, "Wall of Water" and seeing all the friends from the great State of Texas.

We are staying there again. Motel room #12, down by the end. Oldbuck & Esabataj are supposed to have their motor homes in an RV spot, down where the boats were parked last time. Not sure yet about Greaser & Black...Thought Greaser got a cabin, but not 100% on that. Charlie F also has a motel room if I'm not mistaken... You got one also, correct?
