First week of October Lake Powell

I was wonding if theres anything going on at Lake Powell the first week of October, Races, partys any good places to go hang out. I'm flying down from Anchorage Alaska to see some friends that have rented a house boat there.
What will the temp. be there in Qctober?
Can't wait I'm flying in to Las Vegas then driving to Lake Powell. I've never been to either should be off the hook.

Can't wait I'm flying in to Las Vegas then driving to Lake Powell. I've never been to either should be off the hook.
There is a unconfirmed rumor that there will be a bunch of us regulars on the lake making a run up towards the San Juan Arm that weekend. We will more than likely be heading out from the Wahweap launch ramp on that Friday around 10 am and either staying in Oak Canyon or Reflection Canyon.
Temps that time of year are Air- low to mid 80's and water- low to mid 70's.
It's a great time of year to be out on Powell.
