Is there a specific tach that seems to be the hot deal. I havent had to buy a tach since the Jones and cable days. On one of the other posts a while back somebody mentioned that the cable deals were way off.

I can't speak for most, but I notice a lot of Autometer tachs----I run one that has a recall, and used with a magneto

The PS boat has the same Autometer with recall. Handy when trying to tune for max RPM. Also with a mag.....But, don't get it wet!!!!.........MP

When you say don't get it wet.I sank my flat last year,& when I was done with the cleaning & motor rebuild my Autometer worked just fine.Just lucky I guess.

I sent my memory tach to Autometer for service, told them it came with the boat and I didn't buy it. They sent me a brand new one no charge.
Only gauge I'l ever buy in thr future. :D

I'm with Brad, an older Autometer tach came with the Canyon, I wasn't sure how to use all it's functions. I emailed them a pic and description and they sent me the correct owners manual. Very cool

Autometer with playback! Way too cool. Nice to see how its burning the prop out of the hole and how it pulls through the rpm range. Great tuning tool.

I been using an Autometer tach with memory recall since I built the boat in 92 and never had a problem and it's still like new!.. The key is not to mount it solid!..

This has worked great for me so far.
The tach. is in the dash, but mounted with at least 1/4" of foam all around.

90 seconds of playback
Part #3964
