I just wanted to share some pictures from my tuna killing trip this past weekend. I bet Peta would love to see this live tons of bloody carnage.
And I had a great time making a mess and not cleaning the boat.

Yeah I Have Never Seen A Boat That Bad Before. All Of Those Boats Have Water Hose's On Them To Squirt The Deck Down. Deck Hands Need To Earn There Money.

its like captian hook's hand on a pole so the deck hands can hook the fish at water level instead of trying to bounce the bigger fish and break your line and loose your catch, arrrrrr!!

Vada

geeze...is that really necessary???
Does the hook have teeth on them?

Man that was a good strike!!!! I was on a boat that had a major white sea bass strike - we limited out in 45 minutes. I was pissed because I found a pocket of yellow tail at the end of the sea bass strike, so they pulled anchor and I only brought in 2 yellow tail.....enough to win the pot!
I hear San Diego is the place to go. Newport and north are hit and miss these days...and mostly miss I hear. And a two day trip if you want tuna. Yellow tail can be found, but you usually need squid.
Let me know if you have room for a sarchastic pudgy white dude on your next trip!!! :)

FISH ON! Me and my dad go have gone albacore fishin out of SD and have done well. I've never seen a boat that messy before. Either you guy's were realling in a fish ever 10 seconds or the deck hands were asleep. Tuna blood has a real strong smell. SD 's the place to fish.

ditto that. you never see that level of mess on the larger long range boats.
nice wide open biter on the footballs but the crew needs some housekeeping classes.... :) looks like you hit a winner as far as the fishin...

I think they just had a hard time keeping up with the gaff we boated 320-fish between 25 and 35-pounds in 5-hours that's 64-fish per hour between 27-guys. Plus most of the mess came from 100 or so Skipjack that kept nabbing the bait before the Yellow fin could get it. The skipper was telling us not to put the bleeding Skipjack back in the drink because it could turn away the Tuna. But those fish just flat out kicked my ass all weekend but I'm ready to do it again anytime.

That's funny they only posted 270-yellow fin on there website the limit is 10-per day in Mexican waters. The skipper said that we killed enough for the 27-guys aboard and the 8-person crew.

There is no excuse for the deck to be in that shape, and i have been in some awesome wide open bites. Fish should be tagged and put in a hold til a lull in the bite, then put in the hole. It looked kinda dangerous with all those fish all over the deck. Im glad you put the hurt to them though. What boat was it?

Oh hell I've been in lots of bites where the deck, and us looked WAY worse than that. I've had them make us stop fishing, put 'em down below, rinse the deck and turn us loose again. The last WFO Albie bite I was on everyone on the deck was covered in blood head to toe from bending over to tag your fish while they were flopping around in blood.
RED DECKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll be on 'em tomorrow. :skull:

We went out on 2 day a trip July 8th on the (can't tell) out of H&M and we caught 359 albacore and 1 blue fin with 32 guys in our group, all but 2 albacore and the blue fin were caught on the first day. Needless to say we were home 8 hours early, the Capt. didn't want to take a chance on catching any more albacore. It was the best 2 day trip I have ever been on and the first time I've seen where you had to get a buddy or someone without a fish on thier line to gaft your fish because the deck hands were to busy pulling other fish in. You had to tag or bag your own fish if you wanted them, the deck hands didn't have time. Some guys were even trying to pull the fish on board with thier poles which was a losing battle, maybe 3 or 4 were able to do that. It took 6 karts to get the fish up to the parking lot and an hour to hand them all out. It was one of those trips you dream of. I can't wait to go out again this year. It looks like it's a hit and miss on the catch this summer, some days they are hitting and some days hardly nothing. Need to get down about a 100 miles and they don't take you that far on a 1 day. Its worth the extra bucks for a 2 day trip. :mix: I know pics are worth a thousand words but guess nobody had time to take any. I did take a few but it seems I'am to dumb to post them.
Is this a fish story? Ya it is but a true one.
