Hey wait a minute, $25k for a blank 25 Daytona hull? Where the hell is that?
I am looking for a blank hull and all I found is $35k, interior only and no trailer or motor & accessories or drive.
We are trying to build a 25 Daytona. We need a blank hull so we can plug in all our goodies.I am leaning towards Tony at WCRM. We have the motor but need the drive and the boat.

Where did you get the quote for the blank hull? I am also looking into going with WCRM. What did it include, interior, gas tanks, etc. Thanks

Boatcrazy, I can't beleive you haven't sold this sucka. Sounds like a really good deal. If I had 70 g's I'd give you a holla. Have many people come out to look at it? Does it have a hole in one of the sponsons? What's the deal?

Dave C
09-18-2003, 08:13 AM
I can't believe that thing is still for sale either. That is a great deal.
Does anyone need a 2000 Cougar MTR with an HP500EFI so I can buy it? anyone? :D .... it does 85 w/o a S/C!
BTW, where the hell is Indiana anyway? Do they got lakes there? wink

I'm going to put my $.02 here, this is ridiculous that this boat is not gone yet. I have the same boat and I'd tell you to stop smokin' crack if you offered me $70,000.00 for it, he is giving this thing away. I can also say that this thing is a great boat to drive alot of fun. Somebody needs to step up 'cause I don't need two of them.

Dave C
09-18-2003, 09:52 AM
Boat030. Damn two of them? you are the big dog!
BTW how fast is yours cuz I see a blower peaking there?!?
Has anyone ever tried to get two boat loans? I can get a $70k loan but I figure I will be stuck with my boat until next spring.
Mine is currently with BofA. I wonder if they would go for it?

Not much market for a 26' boat that is $70K in the midwest. Most people run smaller boats unless you are on one of the big lakes. Having said that, I am surprised someone hasn't flown out from the west coast and towed it back.

I think there's just a lot of nervousness about the economy right now. I can see why expensive toys are hard to sell. Good luck with the sale, someone will get a great deal.

Boat030.
120 that’s fast! eek! Great picture! What size motor/blower you got there? It’s peaking quite a few inches above the motor cover. I’m guessing 1071?
Did you ever compare the speed difference between the 25 & 26? I know the 25 is lighter but how big of a difference is it?
I ain’t worried about no stinking economy. If I could find a buyer for mine I would take a look at that thing.

Dave,
I have a 540" chevy with Olds. big chief heads, a blower shop 14-71 blower with intercooler. The motor was built by Roslan Performance motorsports in Atascadero Ca, and I can't speak highly enough for them this motor makes some serious steam. I'm sure the 25' daytona would be faster but I have two kids and the 26' has room underneath the deck so that was the deciding factor for me.

1471 & big chiefs! eek! Damn that’s some “serious steam.” My buddy has a setup like that in his 21 Daytona. That’s some serious stuff there! :D
Lots of room underneath, huh! We don’t see to many big cats up here so I haven’t seen a 26 up close yet. The 25 has a very small cabin underneath but its kind of claustrophobic.
I assumed that the additional weight of the 26 really hurts the speed but I am not so sure now. But I can’t use yours as a comparison because of that monster under your hood. (apples vs. oranges here!)

No, if I advertised it and it wasn’t the end of summer I probably could find a buyer.
Trying to sell a boat at the end of summer is like trying to smoke your own pole, everyone has tried it but nobody can actually do it wink (at least in theory).

Schemes & ways consultant.
Translation. Finding & defending legalized tax loopholes that appear at face value not very legal or at least unfair.
Origin. After explaining a “tax loophole scheme,” the client asks: “that is quite a scheme, is that legal?” Answer, “sure it is, how much money do you have to defend it?” (i.e. the level of “finding” and “defending” is directly correlated to the amount of fee paid)

Sorry JR, yup gotta get with those 39.6%'ers.
Do you own your own business? Do you recall how you get ass-raped ever quarter by cutting those checks to Feds to fund the welfare state?
Rather than getting ass raped by the feds, you can cut quarterly checks to your brokerage account in the form of "deferred compensation"
There are various ways of doing this. I figure out which of these various ways works best for your situation.

i've always heard it's hard to get used to the canopies due to the distortion. is there any truth to that?? do you actually sit behind the canopies or do you still look just over the top of them?
