Get at least 8'....you could fit maybe barely with 7', but maybe not...

I have fit a 28' Magic cat in a garage with a 7' door. Now it was a little tricky. I used a stock height vehicle with a 4" drop hitch to lower the trailer and much as possible and cleared it with about 1.5" to spare.
I would want nothing less than 8' though. My next house, I'm doing 14', just to play it safe. :D

I just measured and you won't make a 7' opening with a 27' Daytona. Better go eight. Plus think about when you upgrade to a bigger boat :D

I know my 27 Shadow won't fit in a 7' door. It's just under 8' with a hair to spare.

I believe that you can order a triple axle trailer, and you'll end up with a lower profile then a double axle trailer. I have a Carrera 257 on a double axle trailer with big 15" tires on it, and it fit in a 7' opening by about a 1/2".

I have a 27 Shadow with a standard Extreme triple axle trailer and it fits in my 7' door. Go 8' if you can. I had them make the ladder handrail in the front 12" lower.

I have a 28 tall deck with the windsheild and it just fits in my 8 foot tall garage. Though if I was building I would go bigger, can't work on it in there.... well you can but you have to bend down.

thanks for the input guys...
just bought a house in havasu and it has a 7' door. I have been looking at a 25-26' daytona and a 26' howard cat.
hopefully it will fit, or the roof is getting redone
the next garage will be at least 14' tall

When I got my boat, I measured about twenty times, and knew it was going to be close. So, I brought my compressor with me in case I had to let air out of the tires to make it fit for heigth, and a sledgehammer in case it didn't fit for length. That sucker was going in there!!! :D

the garage isnt long enough...now
its 20x27x7
its gonna have about 30' added to the length, but im more concerned with the height.
i think a 25-26 cat will fit, but it will be tight
