I'm close with all your guys help on my 25 Wellcraft Nova. I have twin 302's rebuilt 30 over, edlebrock performer intakes, new crane cams hyd lifters and timing chain & gear sets straight up no advance or retard. 650 demons, MSD 6A ign boxes. Kodiak headers through hull exhaust. I had the original ford distributers that were just plain old tired (converted w/ pertronix). I have just purchased 2 new MSD distributers. These look like I can set the full advance to come in at many different places. Demon carbs say they want me to have 16deg initial timing, I would assume with 20 deg.additional at WOT would put at about what I think you guys said was good around 36 deg total. Question is, when should this come in 2000 rpm, 3000 or 4000,?? Boat is heavy but i damn close to my goal of 60-62mph and is 38 deg to much? I burn the highest octain I can get at the pump and motors run cool about 120-130 deg F.. Please help me finish.
