What are the taxes there?

When I originally bought taxes were just over 1%, something like 1.02. Unfortunately when I bought a place in the same neighborhood in Sept last year, they went up to about 1.6%...and there's a supplemental tax also, but that might be only for the first year, dunno...
C-Dog, just gonna move down the street, same area.
And thanks for the nice comments. I'm not too happy I'm selling, I love this house. So does my g/f and she's kinda pissed. We put a ton of work into this place with the moulding and floors, and just got the backyard done.

If ya love it why are you moving?
And isn't there mello-roos and all that crap there bringing you up to at least 2%. Not trying to screw up your sale. Just want to know. That's one of the things that keeps me away from there. 2% on 600k is 1000 a month just in taxes.

Nah, no mello roos or association fees. It's some supplemental tax (somewhere around 2k a year. In total its still under 2%.
Only reason I'm selling is because I've been here 2 years and bought another place 9 months ago. I can sell this, not pay capital gains, and move into the other one. If I sold the other, which I don't like as much, I'd be paying 35% or so to Uncle Sam in Capital gains taxes. Not worth it to me. I'd rather go buy a new boat!

I'd like to stick with my 1%.
I hear ya though. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. You can take the money your saving and buy that boat and also do improvements to the new one to make you like it as much as the other one.
