bassett also makes water cooled "3 y" headers for bbc they are a little cheaper then some of the others out there. They don't look too bad but I have not seen them in person. then agin its a boat ( Budge Over Another Thousand.)

My buddy bought lightning and was very happy with them. They made em to fit his application and coated them with a candy purple to match the gelcoat.

Lightning makes a great header. I ran a sent on 502 in a Baja TC Jet boat. It seem to be the consensus that they only have 5yr life till you need to watch them for internal leaks. But for the money and the life expectancy I opted for a set of Gil offshore. I loved them Used them on a 509 Blower motor in my liberator (jet). I have a set of Stainless on my Checkmate love them also. The use a band clamp on the risers that allow some movement to hit the transom tips.

Something to remember on the headers. Some are water injected and others are water jacketed.
Bassett = Injected
Lightning= Jacketed.
I do not know about the others...

Not supposed to run these (injected) in closed engine compartments.
